ARTISTIC UPCYCLING – ROHI SUPPORTS TEXTILE EXHIBITION “LINES”

Students of the Academy of Fine Arts Munich have created an interdisciplinary textile exhibition on the theme of “lines” in cooperation with the Kunstverein Ebersberg.

Using yarn scraps and selvages from rohi, strands of wool are stretched across the room to create new walkable structures. Overlapping thread layers, twisted wool yarns, a lounger made of interlocking bundles of lines and experimental wall works create spatial structures that transform the production leftovers of the rohi weaving mill into something new, through remarkable upcycling. In several other works, the exhibiting architects and artists combine their different works and explore the fascination of the line in all its physical and imaginary ramifications.
