Blyb. at Lake Tegernsee
Project: Blyb. hotel and restaurant, Gmund, Tegernsee
Architect/Interior designer: Veronika Weiss
A place for relaxation and well-being: Just a few minutes’ walk from Lake Tegernsee, surrounded by spacious meadows and with views of the mountains, the newly renovated Blyb. is not just a hotel and restaurant, but an exceptional place brimming with opportunities to gain inspiration, for example, at social gatherings, in lively conversations at events, getting active or simply by finding peace and quiet surrounded by nature.
Preserving tradition while providing a modern feel: During the conversion and renovation of this spacious property, particular emphasis was placed on nature, preservation and imperfection. The lovingly designed hotel rooms and inviting guest rooms are complemented by various communal areas that offer a wide range of possibilities: enjoying a good book in the tranquillity of the library, having a sociable drink at the bar, experiencing various art and music events, attending lectures and discussion groups, relaxing in the park or sauna, or practising yoga on the wooden deck.
Natural materials for a natural concept: A special look has been created with great respect for the existing features and a conscious choice of materials, doing justice to the location in all its facets. High-quality rohi fabrics made from the finest virgin wool are used for upholstery, cushions and curtains in the cosy lounge areas, the bar, the restaurant and the hotel rooms.
