Milan’s pulsating soul: Just a few steps from the legendary Teatro alla Scala, in the vibrant, creative Brera district, the “Casa Brera”, a Luxury Collection Hotel, has been opened in Piazzetta Bossi. The rationalist architecture of this listed building has been carefully restored and is an iconic example of the influential Milanese 1950s style.

Unmistakable signature: The award-winning designer Patricia Urquiola has harmoniously combined form and function, the opulent and the essential in her thoughtful redesign of the interiors. In contrast to the rigor of the exterior façade, each of the 116 rooms and suites reflects the creative energy and flair of this Milanese neighbourhood. Stylish retreats that invite you to relax, with a design language opening an effortless dialogue between colours, shades and textures.

Bespoke concept: Materials such as walnut wood and Fior di Pesco marble create an elegant, homely atmosphere in the colourful rooms. The designer’s keen eye for textiles and her love of high-quality fabrics are once again evident in her choice of upholstery fabrics. The sofas in the rooms and suites were upholstered with rohi’s MICA, a vibrant, dynamic woollen fabric with an assured character.
For the restaurant seating, Urquiola chose rohi’s SERA fabric in the colour pepper, with its elegant, organic look.
