New cabin seats set the benchmark of the redefinition and Malaysia Airlines has selected rohi to provide seat fabrics for its A330neo business class and economy class cabins. In a move designed to underline its credentials as a major, premium carrier, famed for its inimitable Malaysian Hospitality.

Eager to create an overall passenger experience that meets premium standards, the airline has chosen rohi’s SHAKE fabric in a customized quartz shade of grey for its new business class cabin, which features 28 luxurious suites. Elegant, sophisticated, made of the finest virgin wool and featuring an eye-catching, iridescent surface, SHAKE strikes the perfect balance between sleek modernity and effortless luxury.

Meanwhile, each seat cover in economy features the airline’s signature songket motif, paying homage to Malaysia’s cultural heritage, while seamlessly blending tradition with contemporary style. Drawing on its expertise in creating tailor-made solutions, rohi has successfully translated the traditional Malay motif into a textile design featuring a three-dimensional structure with an embroidery-style finish, for the upper part of the seats. The rest of the seat is harmoniously combined with an understated, elegant woollen fabric, finished in blue-black.
