Café Kandl

Makeover with a twist: the new Café Kandl in the 7th district shows how the centuries-old coffeehouse tradition can also meet the needs of a contemporary hospitality space. Family-friendly breakfast café in the morning, cocktail bar in the evening – two completely different atmospheres, both classic and bang up-to-date.

Warm colour concept: in the café seating area, warm colours produce a cosy feel. The desired look was classically restrained yet strikingly beautiful – as mirrored by the carefully selected colours of rohi’s MICA design, used for the seating and curtains. The rohi textile bar curtain in a punchy red is a key element of the café’s evening-time transformation into a cocktail bar.

Sustainable materials: the longevity, lasting value, and feel were paramount, as was the use of real materials. Sustainability is also possible in interior design.
