SIX SENSES ROME

Project: Hotel Six Senses, Rome, Italy
Designer: Patricia Urquiola

Italian premiere: The renowned hotel brand Six Senses opened its first Italian property in the heart of Rome in 2023. The modern luxury hotel is located in an historic palace, the 18th century Palazzo Salviati Cesi Mellini.

Modernity meets classicism: Designer Patricia Urquiola, entrusted with the interior concept, has infused the historic venue with her distinctive contemporary flair. A harmonious connection with nature permeates all spaces, through the use of traditional Cocciopesto plastering and Travertine limestone, balanced graphic design elements, plants and natural light.

Sustainable design: The hotel brand’s philosophy focuses on well-being, a sense of conviviality, and a strong commitment to sustainable design. For all guest rooms and suites, Urquiola selected rohi´s CENTO as main upholstery fabric, made of 100 % pure virgin wool. The refined bouclé character, combined with a depth of texture, gives CENTO an unparalleled warmth and elegant aesthetics.
